road trip to Chico - a day trip to Chico, CA to attend a Sufi workshop with Alicia.

The road trip to Chico began real early. Too early. Alicia got to drive as Bert (my Honda) was towed to the shop with as yet undiagnosed problems.
When Hwy 99 got down to just the two lanes, we got stuck behind several slow moving vehicles including this guy who appeared to be plucking his eyebrows while driving.
Chico is just 12 miles away!
Objects in mirrors are ALWAYS closer than they appear.
We were in Chico for a Sufi workshop that Alicia invited me to. It was quite an experience and I am glad I went. This is a quick shot from lunch.
After lunch but before the workshop resumed, I took time out to sit on the curb in the parking lot in the nice warm sun and take some pictures.
It's amazing what a long arm can do for the likes of self-portraits.
You just wanted to see my feet, didn't you?!
Look ma, no hands! Oh wait. Look ma, hands!
Alicia coming back to join me on the curb in the sun.
She's trying to look deep into my soul and find out my "due date". Ever the librarian.
This shot was taken later in the day, high from the sky in the Goodyear blimp on it's way to the Superbowl.
This is me in the yellow submarine. Don't we all live there?
