assorted snapshots - just some photos from an afternoon walk, a few at Alicia's apartment before we went to go pick up my car at the dealer and then in my 50s bathroom.

It was very nice and warm out today, and the flowers were starting to bloom. Also, I can't get over how many orange trees are out there along the streets of Sacramento. Anyone like some orange juice?
Orange cones/poles to mark the bite someone took out of the asphalt.
Yield!
What a paint job! Look at the multi-colored bricks! It also appears that there are some ghosts on the front steps... hmm.
Part of my "look up, in the sky" series of photos.
You know I love to take photos of signs...
You'll have to click to enlarge this one... but basically, you probably didn't know that the entrance to the State of California is on R street between 14 & 15th streets. Yup, that's how you enter the state. Convenient that it's just a few blocks away from my apartment.
If you haven't been to Sacramento then you don't know that the downtown is crisscrossed with train tracks. There's freight train tracks that bisect the town on a sort of S/N axis and then lightrail that goes up both sides. It's not uncommon to be stuck at the warning gates watching a train pass by.
So it was amazing to me that while out walking the train came at a perfect time as I was there with camera in hand.
Stare into the light...
If you like trains, tracks, etc. this is the town to be in.
Caught in the act of dropping newspapers in my lap. How exciting.
The unshaven, bushy-haired beast sits awaiting its prey.
Towel meet Tile. Tile meet Towel.
Baby, get out of my car and into my tub!
Drip. Drip. Drip.
I guess this is about the view I'd have in the mirror if I was still in elementary school.
This was a mistaken test shot for a little experiment I was working on. Trying to take advantage of the tripod Alicia lent me. I hope my head's not that distorted in real life! [see more of these]
