a taste of the SLO life - With Cal Poly's Open House a good excuse, I decided to introduce Alicia to the town I went to college in - San Luis Obispo. |

You know I like to take pictures of signs. This is a McDonald's sign from Paso Robles, CA. |

For those of you not on the west coast, Arco is a gas station and AM/PM is a convenience mart. Their super sodas are called Super Tankers (or were, not sure if they still are). I used to know what everyone called their super-size drinks. Scary, eh? |

Carl's Jr. and Green Burrito are a relatively West phenomema too. Imagine an ad campaign centered around red stuff dripping from your burgers... Yup, that was a big campaign for them back before I moved away. |

It started to rain when we got out to explore, so I didn't take too many pictures. This is Alicia in front of the old mission in downtown SLO. |

This is a picture of the coffee barrista at Lineas who kindly offered to take our picture. I think this was taken by Blake. |

I am sooooo bad with names... I'll have to ask people to help me fill out the names. But this was a great group of people, I really enjoyed myself. (L-R: Blake, Alicia, ?, Matte, Danielle, Mandi, ?) |

A quick shot of Alicia through the front window of Lineas as she's talking with our nice new friends. |
