san diego zoo - spent the day at the zoo harassing pandas and flinging poo (just kidding about the poo). |
 | |
1 Alicia's already tired. Been a long weekend. Quinn's keeping an eye on me, he knows I snap unexpected pictures. |
 | |
2 Brian's got his camera too, and boy can he zoom! |
 | |
3 If you only remember one thing when you go to the zoo, it should be to contact the Hippo Keeper. Always contact the Hippo Keeper. |
 | |
4 Alicia likes hippos. So of course I had to snap a photo of the hippo statue when we passed by on the tram. |
 | |
5 Giraffes are tall. They should play basketball. It'd be a shame to waste all that height. |
 | |
6 Cacti. |
 | |
7 Trams are a big deal at the San Diego Zoo. The place is huge. Plus, like much of california, it's full of hills. Makes for a LOT of climbing on foot. |
 | |
8 The Niece and the Aunt. Cute. |
 | |
9 Sort of looks like a diorama. But it's snot. I mean, it's not. (Sorry, there were young kids on the trip, and I am easily influenced.) |
 | |
10 He sees me. He wants to eat me. |
 | |
11 Can't remember if Davina was just tired or checking her cellphone. Kids these days... |
 | |
12 So, the big collector's item were the refillable thermoses with the heads of various animals on them. You could drink soda from the head of a cheetah or an elephant. Yum, cheetah brains... |
 | |
13 Still grumpy. Alicia, it's been over a month since DisneyLand. Haven't you gotten over me pulling down your pants in front of Mickey Mouse?! |
 | |
14 Oh, alright. That photos is on it's side. The panda is on his side. But doesn't it look cooler that way? |
 | |
15 Family on an escalator. Wasn't that an Aerosmith song? |
 | |
16 Shiny. |
 | |
17 Look, up in the air. It's a bird. It's a plane. No it's number 17! |
 | |
18 Quinn scopes out the park, determines where the reptiles are and the fastest way to get there. |
 | |
19 Dudes. Brian and Bryce, cool as cats (with straws in their heads). |
 | |
20 Bryce hiding under the table. I think he was hiding from his sister. |
 | |
21 Eating ice cream, oh, and looking for whatever might have happened to little brother. Did he fall off the edge? |
 | |
22 Monkeys. Where's your socks? |
 | |
23 Over the shoulder primate. Gotta have one of those in every zoo. |
 | |
24 Matte and Alicia at the San Diego Zoo. |
 | |
25 Don't let hippos sit on your head. It hurts. |
 | |
26 You already knew I liked those sky gondola tram things. But what you didn't know is that I like to glam it up and get my photo taken on them too. |
 | |
27 It's rare that you can take a set of photos, including a kid hiding under a table, and then follow it up in the same photolog entry with an overhead photo of the vary spot where all that took place. Does anyone see what happened to Bryce? |
 | |
28 But they didn't say anything about rocking the casbah! |
 | |
29 Back safely aboard the Southwest flight back to Sacramento. |
 | |
30 But don't tell anyone, I didn't stow my tray table for take-off. |
